One final result of the final Round was delayed for more than a month due to a sudden illness of last year's co-champion.

Note that last year's co-champs drew their encounter.

as Director of Play (and current co-champ Colin) said in his announcement of the final round draw :

       "Hello. With one round to go only John N and Colin (the 2004 defending champions) can win the Gosford Chess Club Championship. (both undefeated) More importantly, I am sure you will join me in wishing Duncan well in his recovery. See you all for the last round on Tuesday 29th of November."

Personally, I wish Keith the best of luck for next week and I am sure that John N wishes Phil the same. Colin.
